School Closure March 16 through May 4, 2020

This message is being sent out to explain, in part, why the Board's extension of our school closure was through May 4th and not for the rest of the school year. During our Board meeting last night (Thursday, 4/2/20) following much discussion, our Board voted to extend our school temporary closure through May 1st making May 4th our first day back. However, our Board also made it very clear that this date could and would be extended when necessary. It was also made clear that during this time that the school buildings are closed that learning continues which is why the Board approved the purchase of hotspots and the distribution of chromebooks; one device for every student and one hot spot for every family that does not have internet access.
